Counseling

Counseling is a non-judgmental and healing space where emotional support can be provided, clarity and actions aligned to what gives you meaning can be explored, and key functioning skills can be built to see the growth you want for yourself.

We accept many insurance options for our counseling practice services. Self-pay rates are $150 per hour. We provide services both in-office and over telehealth.

Individual counseling is ideal for adults experiencing emotional unsteadiness, distressing thoughts, low self-esteem/worth, previous or ongoing trauma, and challenging actions. We specialize in ADHD, Autism, and OCD.

Couples counseling counseling can support all partners in building connections, positive interactions, and more productive communication patterns. We specialize in neurodivergent couples.

Parent counseling supports in understanding the impact of diagnoses such as ADHD and high-functioning Autism within the family and parenting, in addition to gaining skills to support and empower neurodiverse families.

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is based on years of extensive research by Dr. Stephen Porges and formed from the understanding of Polyvagal Theory.

Skills-Based Treatment Support

Skill building treatment and goal-oriented services focus on identifying barriers and strengths and building direct skills to better support you in engaging in the actions you want for yourself, in addition to providing compassionate accountability to support follow-through of your identified actions.

Individual sessions are $115 per hour (insurance currently not accepted). We provide services over telehealth, and do have immediate availability. Schedule a free 15 minute consultation call with Caren Kangas at 312-248-2365 to discuss services.

We support adults wanting executive functioning skills support through group accountability and parents wanting to support their children in becoming more organized.

We support adults in understanding their executive functioning profile and building skills within their areas of strengths and challenges.

We support parents in building skills within positive family interactions, receiving educational and supportive services when a child or parent is neurodivergent, and helping to reduce challenging patterns that are disrupting daily life.

This program teaches the executive functioning skills of time management, planning, and organization over the course of 8-10 weeks.
