The Art of Stepping Back: Shift from "Manager" to "Consultant"

A 3-Week Executive Function Skill Building Group for Parents of Rising College Freshman and Sophomores

The transition to college brings a drastic drop in daily structure. Whether you’re a freshman parent bracing for that sudden shift, or a sophomore parent who spent last year fielding midnight stress texts, you know the executive function gap is real.

This virtual group is your space to shift from daily manager to trusted consultant, equipping you with the framework and tools to support your college student’s independence without losing your peace of mind.

Schedule:
Mondays — July 20, July 27, and August 3 – 6pm-7pm CT / 7pm-8pm ET

Cost:
$150

Week 1: Shifting the Dynamic
Learn how to negotiate what your child owns completely versus where they need your support.

Week 2: Beating Time Blindness
Help your child learn to organize classes, study blocks, social life, and sleep with a Time Map.

Week 3: The Pivot Point
Navigate how to coach your child through a missed deadline, failed quiz, or high-stress moment without stepping in to fix it for them.

These groups will be led by Caren Kangas, BCBA, ADHD-CCSP. Caren is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.
